Work began on 18th July of the building of the Seaham Harbour Activity Centre. The centre which is being constructed on the edge of the west car park is due for completion in January 2017. Marina activities, such as kayaking, canoeing and paddle boarding, will be the principle activities of the objective of the centre albeit land base activities and events will be an addition to its overall aims.
Architect's impression of the finished design
We're always working hard to ensure Seaham Harbour Marina is a fun and entertaining day out with plenty to see and do, as well as ensuring the marina is offering top facilities for berth holders. Our ongoing projects are all part of this improvement and we hope you'll enjoy our new developments once completed.
Boat lifting crane
As part of Seaham Marina's long term investment and commitment to continually improve the facilities for boat owners, we are in the process of installing a lifting-out and lifting-in boat hoist.
This 4 hook 20 tonne lifting capacity crane, made by Roodberg of Holland and installed by Pontoon and Dock Company Ltd, is specially designed for boat lifting and proving popular worldwide.
Final additions to the crane and associated works will see the crane in operation near the end of October.
